Swarms come in all shapes and sizes. The bees are essentially home-less and have a limited amount time to find a home before they starve. It is estimated that only 1 in 6 swarms survive. If we can get to them, we give them a fighting chance to survive!
Depending on complexity, there isn't a charge for this service.
However, donations are always welcome!
When a swarm of bees moves into a structure, they will immediately begin building new comb and storing brood and nectar. Removing a colony of bees from these structures can be complex and time consuming. We try hard to keep the cost affordable as we know most people don't have a budget for bee removals!
These colonies are typically found in a meter box, barrel, tire or some other moveable structure with easy access. This is a starting price and helps us re-home the bees. (1-2 hours)
Complex removals are generally in a shed, barn, or other structure. The bees can be located in a soffit on the ground floor with clear access. (4-8 hours)
This hive is one that is too complex to give a starting price. It may require special help from contractors or may need special rental gear to complete the removal. We can discuss the scenario and get you the help you need.
Note: if we must modify a structure to rescue or remove bees, we can connect you with experts at putting it all back together. Bee-Salty does not perform repairs.
